Directionally disorientated !

Mud, Sweat n Gears supported rider Amy Jo Hansford competed at last weeks Gorrick Spring series MTB race and once again put in a great showing.

Amy finished third in the sport female category but it could have been even better! Her first lap was the fastest of the race in her group which shows Amy could have come away with a win, but during the second lap her inherited slight lack of directional awareness took over and she found herself somewhere in a wood wondering where everyone else had gone! Amy soon found her way back to the course and learning from her mistake went a different way on the final lap. Unfortunately it wasn't the right way, but Amy still managed to find and cross the finish line third.

Another great performance with much promise and after a couple of map reading classes we could be seeing Amy on the top step of the podium. Great job!

Just to mention her dad, Rob, didn't get lost (he wanted me to point that out!) and put in a good ride to finish 32nd in a tough 'veteran' group. Well done Rob.
